International study programmes for visiting universities

Built in the late 1600s for a local landlord, Inch House is Ireland's first dedicated Irish Studies Centre for visiting college and university students and staff. Located on Inch Island, Co. Donegal and nestling in its four acres of gardens and woodlands, Inch House Irish Studies Centre offers a year-round programme design, management, transport and accommodation service. The centre has accommodation for up to 60 students, a separate traditional 2 bedroom Irish cottage for accompanying professors/group leaders and their families and private minibus and coach.

Located in the north west of Ireland, the Inch House Irish Studies Centre is ideal for visiting international student groups. We provide:
  • Full programme management service; including accommodation, transport, attractions, lectures and field visits,
  • Accommodation for up to 60 students with private cottage accommodation for faculty.
  • Internationally recognised lecturers
  • Experience with a range of social science and science programmes, from Anglo-Irish literature to policing and justice to nursing and palliative care
  • Privately owned coach, minibuses and cars
  • A beautiful centre, set in 4.5 acres of mature gardens
  • Free wi-fi, excellent teaching facilities and use of our extensive library of antiquarian Irish history books

Inch House is located in Co. Donegal, in the north west of Ireland, close to the border with Northern Ireland. The centre is strategically located just six miles from the town of Buncrana and eight miles from Derry city, the 2013 City of Culture. We're also beside the Wild Atlantic Way, a 1000KM coastal drive on Ireland's west coast.

We will collect students from any Irish airport in our own private coach.
